One India Association (OIA) recently organised its annual Iftar party at a labour camp of Confidence Engineering & Development, Al Wukair. The Iftar party was attended by more than 150 people. OIA is affiliated with Indian Cultural Centre, under the aegis of Indian embassy.
Ziauddin Ahmad, OIA Vice President, presented the importance of holy month of Ramadan. He said that Ramadan was an opportunity to repent over wrong doings and do good deeds. “We should take the momentum forward and work even after Ramadan for purification of soul and enhancement of Taqwa (God consciousness)”, he added. Shaji Francis, Convener of Kerala, welcomed new members to the association. Ansar A R, Mohammadd Ajmal, Rashid Muimin, Liju Paulson, Nishab Kombath, Mohammad Faisal, Mohammadd Feroz, Jeevan Tomson, Sulaiman, Muhthasin, Salam and Hamid Zafar, other OIA members, were also present on the occasion.
